The present study was framed out to evaluate the antidiabetic effects of S. oblonga Wall leaf and root ethyl acetate toluene extracts in vitro vivo. extract found significant inhibition alpha amylase glucosidase enzyme functions vitro. vivo studies are carried according guide line CPCSEA IAEC. acute toxicity test resulted no effect on animals. showed increase body weight animals at end experiment. blood glucose levels diabetic rats significantly reduced after treatment extract. exhibited average activity.
